Product Engineer & Designer, 2018 - 2019

Built and shipped the Ribbon for Agents iOS app, including the design of the offer creation and deal management flows. Ribbon for Agents was a mobile-friendly deal management app for real estate agents utilizing Ribbon for their clients' home purchases.

Bootstrapped Panther, the internal deal management webapp used by our sales and operations teams and transaction coordinators. Panther provides visibility to all deals in progress and closing dates for home purchases with the ability to contact agents and homebuyers and construct and verify offers.

Spotify, New York, NY
Senior Software Engineer, 2013 - 2018

Responsible for end-to-end delivery of features within the native iOS Spotify app, desktop (web) Spotify app, and Spotify Web Player. This involved leading efforts to research users' behaviors and motivations, rapidly design, prototype, and guerrila/usability test a wide range of concepts, draft and execute A/B test strategy to test at scale, and analyze user insights to obtain qualitative and quantitative data in order to inform how to successfully build and ship features.

Managed cross-team efforts with developers, designers, and product managers, many of whom are based out of Europe, to embed new features within existing platforms and views.

Designed, developed, and delivered features that improve artists’ ability to manage their identities and promote their newest releases and tours on Spotify. Includes Concerts feature, New Release notifications, and ways for artists to express themselves via Artist’s Pick and editable artist profiles.

Designed, implemented, and shipped Social features to increase user engagement and retention and enhance music discovery on the platform. Includes Find Friends and Following users/artists, real time Friend Activity Feeds, Sharing music with other users via Inbox and on social networks, and in-app/push notifications.

Technical Architect, 2011 - 2012

Rapidly designed and prototyped iterations to existing internal web tools using iRise, an enterprise-oriented prototyping platform that helped teams more efficiently manage technical requirements and software changes.

Designed and developed a client-side Python application to automate iRise license generation for fellow colleagues.

Designed a user and project management web app to provide iRise usage metrics, and track the progress of iRise projects and issues and defects avoided by the use of the tool.

Redesigned my team’s internal website to better detail the value of iRise and prototyping to other teams and colleagues within the company, empowering us to further evangelize iRise and onboard and engage more users, in turn speeding up the deployment of the iRise platform.

Designed, developed, tested, and integrated a Zend PHP-based ordering and tracking web app to empower the team with a more streamlined, less error-prone user experience. As a bonus this web app also improved secured and removed the deadlocking aspect of the existing Microsoft Access-based system.

Completely revamped the customer order tracking database to comply with modern design standards for more streamlined application development and intuitive post-release patching

Designed a Java Struts-based web app to vastly improve the user experience for internal stakeholders in charge of modifying disclosure text on account statements. These account statements were sent out to private clients on a monthly basis and because of the existing command line based process were often affected by errors or layout issues.
